Medical Success Stories & Case Studies
See how ARO Systems delivers practical imaging solutions in complex veterinary and remote medical environments, from universities veterinary centres to some of the most isolated locations on earth.
Australian Antarctic Division
The Australian Antarctic Division needed reliable access to digital images across highly remote field stations and operations, where fast image sharing is critical for clinical support and specialist review. ARO Systems provided computed radiography systems, PACS software and ongoing service and support across multiple Antarctic locations and head office, helping images move from remote sites back to the mainland via satellite. In 2020, this was further expanded with eight digital radiography systems, plus additional DR panels and chargers for redundancy, helping ensure medical teams could access X-rays, ultrasounds and other diagnostic images no matter how remote the location.
Gold Coast University Hospital Dental Imaging Upgrade
Gold Coast University Hospital needed to modernise its dental imaging environment across five sites and 15 mobile vans. The existing system was slow, relied on manual data entry, and created inefficiencies that affected both workflow and clinical reliability. Working alongside Ivoclar, ARO Systems upgraded the hospital to Carestream Version 8, integrated the state-wide ISOH dental management system, and implemented DICOM and HL7-based workflows to improve image handling and patient data accuracy. The project also included digital upgrades for fixed clinics and mobile vans, staff training, and infrastructure designed for reliability and future growth. The result was a faster, safer and more scalable dental imaging system for Queensland Health.
